Log, Homeowner’s Ins. Very Low, Beach 30″

Your Affordable Living Log Home on the Emerald Coast!

Your Affordable Living Log Home on the Emerald Coast!

We moved to this 5.4 acres only 30 minutes from the Emerald Coast beach after Hurricane Opal.  In 2000 we built this energy miser home with power bills that average $100.00 a month.  In this home you can be close enough to enjoy the white sand and green waters of the Gulf of Mexico, (we are right above Fort Walton, Destin and Santa Rosa Beach), and yet be much better off when hurricane season rolls around!  Something that has come to our attention lately are the extravagant homeowner’s insurance rates on the beach.  We know of two instances of rates going to $7,000 and $10,000 a year with the result of one owner moving to Alabama and the other losing their home!  WANT TO STAY IN THIS BEAUTIFUL AREA??
This home is the answer!  Our homeowner’s insurance is $1800.00 a year yet we can still enjoy the beach.  This property and home is close enough to commute to Fort Walton Beach or Destin so you could keep your job and not have to leave the area because of homeowner’s insurance rate increases.  They say it all the time…LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION…is at 185 Forrest Oak Road.
