Valparaiso, Florida: Saturday In the Park
Saturday In the Park is coming soon to Valparaiso. This wonderful annual festival is held in the Valparaiso Historic district and is sponsored by the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida. The Heritage Museum is a wonderful treasure of history involving the Emerald Coast region, specifically Destin and Valparaiso. Eglin AFB plays a large part in that history as does Hurlburt Field and Duke Field. Jimmy Doolittle’s Raiders trained here in preparation for their attack on the Japanese mainland. Saturday In the Park involves music, arts, crafts, homesteading demonstrations and numerous vendors. It is a great opportunity to view our beautiful old downtown which was designed with three beautiful vistas of the Choctawahatchee Bay at the termination of 3 perpendicular roads.
